Think they had a good time? Isn't it so wonderful that they brought back a picture of a lizard? I think that was just for me. Certainly I like the other pictures, but the lizard? Hey, he's perfect.

When I was a student at Arizona State University, I studied with Neil Miller. He had studied with and worked for Ansel Adams.
I worked at University City High School in San Diego for about 10 years. I ran the Media Lab and, among other things, I taught my students black and white photography. My first student went on to become one of New York City's finest baby and children photographers. Her name is Donna Padowitz. She took the black and white picture of Kim and I in the post about Kim.
A few years ago I took a workshop with Jay Maisel and I met a wonderful photographer named Joe Schuyler. Joe told me about PODart online gallery, so when I got home I sent them some images (always call your photographs "images" -- they are not "pictures," "pics," or "photos"), they liked them and you can see mine and Joe's in the Landscape & Still Life Photography gallery.

And on the Eighth day God said the world was funny, and created laughter.
The Two Wolves
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all...
One is Evil. It is anger, fear, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
