Oregon stories: Elowa and Upper McCord Creek Falls

Yesterday, Kim and Jeff and I went out to the Columbia River Gorge for some hiking and waterfall enjoyment.

It was a perfect day for it too. Come on with me and I'll show you what was there:

Elowa Falls

The bridge

Survey marker

Kim and Jeff

Succulents growing in a rock crevice

One of the little blue butterflies that Jeff mentions

Kim pondering a very old, very rusty pipe

Gigantic slug

A tiny little path carved out of the cliff

Lots of mud

The Upper McCord Creek Falls

The Upper McCord Creek

Thanks for coming with me. Where would you like to go next time? How about Astoria?

Your pictures remind me how much I love the Gorge. Beautiful waterfalls and green growy things. Speaking of beautiful wild views, Ben and I have been in Juneau for two days now and the views around us are unbelievable - a tree covered mountain disappearing into the clouds, snow topped mountains towering out of the water. I can't wait to get out and explore!

hello ub, thank you -- I've been doing it for enough years. And you have some amazing talent too; that post (about summer love) was incredible.
